於是他們在急難中呼求永恆主拯救他們脫離他們的窘迫；

於是他們在急難中喊求永恆主援救他們脫離他們的窘迫；

我尋求了永恆主，他就應我，援救了我脫離我一切恐懼。人仰望他，便有光彩；他們的臉不至於蒙羞。這困苦人呼求，永恆主便垂聽，救他脫離一切的患難。

每逢他殺了他們的時候，他們總求問他，總回心轉意、迫切切地尋求上帝。他們也追念着上帝他們的磐石，至高者上帝、那贖回他們的。

永恆主啊，我曾向你呼求，向我主懇求，說：『我被害流血、下於冥坑、有甚麼益處？塵土還能稱讚你，還能宣說你的可信可靠麼？永恆主啊，求你垂聽，而恩待我；永恆主啊，求你幫助我。』你已將我的舉哀變為舞蹈，將我的麻衣脫下，又將喜樂給我束腰，使我的肝腸可唱揚你、而不住聲。永恆主我的上帝啊，我要稱謝你、直到永遠。

你呼求我，我就應你，將你所不知的、一些又大又難作到的事指示你。

我便呼求永恆主的名，說：『哦，永恆主啊，搭救我的性命哦！』永恆主有恩惠，有義氣；我們的上帝以憐憫為懷。永恆主保護愚直人；我落到卑微地步，他拯救了我。我的心哪，要回復你的寧靜，因為永恆主以厚恩待了你。因為你救拔了我的性命、不致死亡，我的眼不致流淚，我的腳不被推倒；

於是他們在急難中喊求永恆主帶領他們脫出他們的窘迫；
