I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard[ him], and saved him out of all his troubles.
When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.And they remembered that God[ was] their rock, and the high God their redeemer.
I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication. What profit[ is there] in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that[ my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
Then called I upon the name of the LORD; O LORD, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.Gracious[ is] the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God[ is] merciful. The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee. For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears,[ and] my feet from falling.
