Fools are afflicted because of their disobedience, and because of their iniquities.

愚妄人因自己的过犯和自己的罪孽便受苦楚。

有些人愚顽，因自己的悖逆和罪恶而受苦，

他们有些人因自己的过犯成了愚妄人，有人受苦是因为自己的罪孽。

另一些是愚妄人，因自己的叛逆行径和罪孽受苦。

愚妄人因自己的過犯和自己的罪孽便受苦楚。

有些人愚頑，因自己的悖逆和罪惡而受苦，

他們有些人因自己的過犯成了愚妄人，有人受苦是因為自己的罪孽。

有人患病，由於他們自己的過犯、和自己的罪孽、而受折磨；

另一些是愚妄人，因自己的叛逆行徑和罪孽受苦。

愚人因其愆尤罪戾、罹於禍患兮、

愚人犯罪、而罹禍患兮、

愚人妄行作孽、便受苦楚、

或陷昏惑。積辜成疾。

Some became fools through their rebellious ways and suffered affliction because of their iniquities.

Others were foolish. They suffered because of their sins. They suffered because they wouldn’t obey the Lord.

Some were fools through their sinful ways, and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;

Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins.

Fools suffered affliction because of their rebellious ways and their iniquities.

Fools, because of their rebellious way, And because of their guilty deeds, were afflicted.

Fools, because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, were afflicted.

Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

Fools suffered affliction because of their rebellious ways and their sins.

Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

They acted like fools in their rebellious ways, and suffered because of their sins.

Why does a living man complain, a man for the punishment of his sins?

While the meat was still between their teeth, before it was chewed, Yahweh’s anger burned against the people, and Yahweh struck the people with a very great plague.The name of that place was called Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who lusted.

“ How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity? How long will mockers delight themselves in mockery, and fools hate knowledge?

The fool has said in his heart,“ There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable deeds. There is no one who does good.

The people spoke against God and against Moses:“ Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, there is no water, and our soul loathes this disgusting food!”Yahweh sent venomous snakes among the people, and they bit the people. Many people of Israel died.The people came to Moses, and said,“ We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh and against you. Pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us.” Moses prayed for the people.Yahweh said to Moses,“ Make a venomous snake, and set it on a pole. It shall happen that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.”Moses made a serpent of bronze, and set it on the pole. If a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked at the serpent of bronze, he lived.

I saw among the simple ones. I discerned among the youths a young man void of understanding,

I was angry because of the iniquity of his covetousness and struck him. I hid myself and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.I have seen his ways, and will heal him. I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.

A senseless man doesn’t know, neither does a fool understand this:

“ Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will repay, yes, I will repay into their bosom,your own iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together”, says Yahweh,“ who have burned incense on the mountains, and blasphemed me on the hills. Therefore I will first measure their work into their bosom.”

Yahweh, don’t rebuke me in your wrath, neither chasten me in your hot displeasure.For your arrows have pierced me, your hand presses hard on me.There is no soundness in my flesh because of your indignation, neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.For my iniquities have gone over my head. As a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me.My wounds are loathsome and corrupt because of my foolishness.I am in pain and bowed down greatly. I go mourning all day long.For my waist is filled with burning. There is no soundness in my flesh.I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.

“ Your own wickedness will correct you, and your backsliding will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing, that you have forsaken Yahweh your God, and that my fear is not in you,” says the Lord, Yahweh of Armies.

The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.Aaron said to Moses,“ Oh, my lord, please don’t count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.”Moses cried to Yahweh, saying,“ Heal her, God, I beg you!”

He followed her immediately, as an ox goes to the slaughter, as a fool stepping into a noose.
