籲耶和華曰、舍我上帝、服事巴力、我實有罪。耶和華諭以色列族曰、我豈非拯爾於埃及人、亞摩哩人、亞捫人、非利士人者乎。昔西頓人、亞馬力人、馬雲人虐爾、爾籲時、我援爾於其手。汝乃棄我、事他上帝、故不復救爾。爾所簡之上帝、爾可籲之、使彼拯爾於難。以色列族曰、我已犯罪、任爾譴責、惟祈今日得救為幸。遂去他上帝、事耶和華。耶和華見以色列族困苦、則中心愀然。當時亞捫族集、建營於基列、以色列族集、建營於米斯巴。基列民及其長相議曰、誰先戰亞捫族、必為基列民之牧。

馬拿西事實、備載於以色列列王紀畧、其祈禱上帝之言、與先見者奉以色列族上帝耶和華命、亦附斯書。馬拿西有所祈、上帝允之、未自卑之前、所犯罪愆、所築崇坵、所奉偶像、載於何賽之書特詳。○

我聞以法蓮哭曰、昔予如放逸之犢、爾督責予、而我受責、爾耶和華乃我之上帝、俾我悛改。我既悛改、悔於厥衷、我既受教、擊髀浩嘆、幼時已干罪戾、既長更負愆尤、含羞抱愧、無地可容。耶和華曰、以法蓮豈非我之赤子、我所眷愛者哉、予責之、輒生憐念、予矜憫為懷、復加以撫恤。

耶和華曰、我鑒吾民、受苦於埃及、人督其役、上籲於我、惟我聽聞、知其殷憂。我降臨以拯之、脫於埃及人手、導出其境、以詣至腴至廣之地、其地產乳與蜜、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人所處者。
