The Lord was very angry with Amaziah. He sent a prophet to him. The prophet said,“ Why do you ask the gods of those people for advice? They didn’t think it was important to know God. So God let them continue to have evil thoughts. They did things they shouldn’t do.

You give me wise advice to guide me. And when I die, you will take me away into the glory of heaven.

God gives lonely people a family. He sets prisoners free, and they go out singing. But those who refuse to obey him live in a land that is baked by the sun.

How terrible for those who say,“ Let God hurry up and do what he says he will. We want to see it happen. Let us see the plan of the Holy One of Israel. We want to know what it is.”

The Pharisees loved money. They heard all that Jesus said and made fun of him.

There isn’t any joy in our hearts. Our dancing has turned into mourning.All of our honor is gone. How terrible it is for us because we have sinned!So our hearts are weak. Our eyes can’t see very clearly.

He raises poor people up from the trash pile. He lifts needy people out of the ashes.He causes them to sit with princes. He causes them to sit with the princes of his people.He gives children to the woman who doesn’t have any children. He makes her a happy mother in her own home. Praise the Lord.
