斯人也、違逆至高之上帝、厭棄其道、故居幽暗陰翳之地、陷以患難、縶以鐵索兮、

有人坐於幽暗死陰中、被鐵索所拘而受艱苦、

或作幽囚。銷魂獄中。黑影幢幢。鏈鎖重重。

Some sat in darkness, in utter darkness, prisoners suffering in iron chains,

Others lived in the deepest darkness. They suffered as prisoners in iron chains.
