They did not remember his power shown on the day he redeemed them from the foe,

Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt and the LORD your God redeemed you; that is why I am giving you this command today.

Israel is a nation lacking sense with no understanding at all.If only they were wise, they would comprehend this; they would understand their fate.

and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved.For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe the lie,so that all will be condemned— those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness.

Even if he causes suffering, he will show compassion according to the abundance of his faithful love.

Such people do not comprehend and cannot understand, for he has shut their eyes so they cannot see, and their minds so they cannot understand.

Yet to this day the LORD has not given you a mind to understand, eyes to see, or ears to hear.

I will make known the LORD’s faithful love and the LORD’s praiseworthy acts, because of all the LORD has done for us— even the many good things he has done for the house of Israel, which he did for them based on his compassion and the abundance of his faithful love.

so that they may indeed look, and yet not perceive; they may indeed listen, and yet not understand; otherwise, they might turn back and be forgiven.”

So, then, remember that at one time you were Gentiles in the flesh— called“ the uncircumcised” by those called“ the circumcised,” which is done in the flesh by human hands.

Aware of this, he said to them,“ Why are you discussing the fact you have no bread? Don’t you understand or comprehend? Do you have hardened hearts?Do you have eyes and not see; do you have ears and not hear? And do you not remember?When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of leftovers did you collect?”“ Twelve,” they told him.“ When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you collect?”“ Seven,” they said.And he said to them,“ Don’t you understand yet?”

“ How long, inexperienced ones, will you love ignorance? How long will you mockers enjoy mocking and you fools hate knowledge?
