how he set his signs in Egypt, his wonders in the field of Zoan,he turned their rivers into blood, and their streams, so that they could not drink.He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.He gave also their increase to the caterpillar, and their labor to the locust.He destroyed their vines with hail, their sycamore fig trees with frost.He gave over their livestock also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.He threw on them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, indignation, and trouble, and a band of angels of evil.He made a path for his anger. He didn’t spare their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence,and struck all the firstborn in Egypt, the chief of their strength in the tents of Ham.

As Yahweh commanded them, so they did.Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty- three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,“ When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying,‘ Perform a miracle!’ then you shall tell Aaron,‘ Take your rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, and it will become a serpent.’”Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, as Yahweh had commanded. Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent.Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers. They also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same thing with their enchantments.
