主使草生以養六畜、使菜長以備人需、

離離芳草。飼彼六畜。青青新蔬。酬人勞作。俾我芸芸。取食地腹。

天主曰、遍地結子之菜蔬、與懷核之樹果、我俱賜爾以為食、至於地上走獸、空中飛鳥、及動於地之諸生物、我賜以青草為食、有如此也、

萬類皆舉目仰望主、主隨時使其得食、主普施恩惠、使群生得飽、

麀產子於野而遺之、因無草故、野驢立於童山、吸氣若豺狼、豺狼或作野犬其目迷眩、因無草故、

滋潤荒蕪空曠之地、又使草萊萌芽發生、

耶和華天主使地生諸樹、可觀可食、當園之中、有生命之樹、亦有區別善惡之樹、

如是、種者不足稱、灌者不足稱、全在長之之天主耳、

亞哈命俄巴底曰、爾往遍地、至一切泉旁、一切溪旁、或者得草以養馬騾、不致牲畜盡絕、

地未生草木、未生菜蔬、因耶和華天主未降雨於地、亦無人耕地、

爾耕地、地不復為爾效力、爾必飄流於地、
