主使草生以養六畜、使菜長以備人需、

離離芳草。飼彼六畜。青青新蔬。酬人勞作。俾我芸芸。取食地腹。

He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:

至於地，能出糧食，地內好像被火翻起來。

田野的走獸啊，不要懼怕；因為，曠野的草發生，樹木結果，無花果樹、葡萄樹也都效力。

神說：「地要發生青草和結種子的菜蔬，並結果子的樹木，各從其類，果子都包着核。」事就這樣成了。於是地發生了青草和結種子的菜蔬，各從其類；並結果子的樹木，各從其類；果子都包着核。神看着是好的。

神說：「看哪，我將遍地上一切結種子的菜蔬和一切樹上所結有核的果子全賜給你們作食物。至於地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥，並各樣爬在地上有生命的物，我將青草賜給牠們作食物。」事就這樣成了。

萬民都舉目仰望你；你隨時給他們食物。你張手，使有生氣的都隨願飽足。

田野的母鹿生下小鹿，就撇棄，因為無草。野驢站在淨光的高處，喘氣好像野狗；因為無草，眼目失明。

使荒廢淒涼之地得以豐足，青草得以發生？

耶和華神使各樣的樹從地裏長出來，可以悅人的眼目，其上的果子好作食物。園子當中又有生命樹和分別善惡的樹。

可見栽種的，算不得甚麼，澆灌的，也算不得甚麼；只在那叫他生長的神。

亞哈對俄巴底說：「我們走遍這地，到一切水泉旁和一切溪邊，或者找得着青草，可以救活騾馬，免得絕了牲畜。」

野地還沒有草木，田間的菜蔬還沒有長起來；因為耶和華神還沒有降雨在地上，也沒有人耕地，

你種地，地不再給你效力；你必流離飄蕩在地上。」
