你為了牲畜使青草滋生，為了人的需用使蔬菜生長，使糧食從地裡生出；

生草萊以飼六畜、備菜蔬以供人需、俾穀產於地兮、

主令百草萌櫱、六畜囓之、菜蔬叢生、世人食之、咸地所產兮、

主使草生以養六畜、使菜長以備人需、

離離芳草。飼彼六畜。青青新蔬。酬人勞作。俾我芸芸。取食地腹。

He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:

至於地，糧食從它而出，地底下卻好像被火翻轉過來一樣。

他以密雲遮蓋天空，為大地預備雨水，使群山長滿青草。他把食物賜給走獸，也賜給啼叫的小烏鴉。

所有活著的動物都可以作你們的食物，我把這一切都賜給你們，好像我把青菜賜給了你們一樣。

他把糧食賜給全人類，因為他的慈愛永遠長存。

地要給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來；你也要吃田間的蔬菜；

田野的走獸啊，你們不要懼怕，因為曠野的草場又發青了，樹木又結果子了，無花果樹和葡萄樹也都效力了。

神說：“地上要長出青草、結種子的蔬菜和結果子的樹木，各從其類，在地上的果子都包著核！”事就這樣成了。於是，地上長出了青草和結種子的蔬菜，各從其類；又長出結果子的樹木，各從其類，果子都包著核。神看這是好的。

神說：“看哪！我把全地上結種子的各樣蔬菜，和一切果樹上有種子的果子，都賜給你們作食物。至於地上的各種野獸，空中的各種飛鳥，和地上爬行有生命的各種活物，我把一切青草蔬菜賜給牠們作食物。”事就這樣成了。

萬人的眼睛都仰望你，你按時把糧食賜給他們。你把手張開，使所有生物都隨願得到飽足。

甚至母鹿在田野生產了小鹿，也得把牠丟棄，因為沒有青草。野驢站在光禿的高岡上，像野狗喘著氣；牠們雙目發呆，因為沒有青草。”

使荒廢之地得著滋潤，使青草在乾旱之地得以長起來呢？

耶和華神使各樣的樹從地上長起來，能悅人的眼目，也好作食物。園子中間又有生命樹，和知善惡樹。

所以，栽種的算不得甚麼，澆灌的也算不得甚麼，只在乎那使它生長的神。

亞哈對俄巴底說：“你走遍這地，到所有的水泉和溪水那裡去看看，也許我們可以找到青草，使騾馬能夠生存，免得牲畜滅絕。”

原野上還沒有樹木，田間的蔬菜還沒有長起來，因為耶和華神還沒有降雨在地上，也沒有人耕種土地；

你種地，地也不再給你效力；你必在地上流離失所。”
