主令百草萌櫱、六畜囓之、菜蔬叢生、世人食之、咸地所產兮、

主使草生以養六畜、使菜長以備人需、

離離芳草。飼彼六畜。青青新蔬。酬人勞作。俾我芸芸。取食地腹。

He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth:

祂以雲霞遮蔽天空，降雨水滋潤大地，使山上長出綠草。祂賜食物給走獸，餵養嗷嗷待哺的小烏鴉。

凡是活著的動物都可作你們的食物，就像菜蔬和穀物一樣。

祂賜食物給眾生，因為祂的慈愛永遠長存。

地必給你長出荊棘和蒺藜，你要吃田間長出來的菜蔬。

田野的走獸啊，不要懼怕，因為綠草鋪遍了原野，樹木也結滿了果子，無花果樹和葡萄樹都結實纍纍。

上帝說：「陸地要長出植物——各類結種子的菜蔬和結果子的樹木，果子內都有籽。」果然如此，陸地長出了植物——各類結種子的菜蔬和結果子的樹木，果子內都有籽。上帝看了，感到滿意。

上帝對人說：「看啊，我把地上所有結種子的菜蔬和所有樹上有籽的果子都賜給你們作食物。我把植物賜給所有地上的走獸、空中的飛鳥及地上的爬蟲作食物。」果然如此。

世人都仰賴你，你按時賜給他們所需的食物。你慷慨滿足一切生命的需要。

因為沒有草，田野的母鹿拋棄了剛生下來的小鹿；因為沒有草，野驢站在光禿的山頭上像豺狼一樣喘氣，雙目無神。」

以滋潤荒涼不毛之地，使土地長出青草？

耶和華上帝使地面長出各種樹木，它們既好看又能結出可吃的果子。在園子的中間有生命樹和分別善惡的樹。

所以栽種的和灌溉的都算不得什麼，一切都在於使之生長的上帝。

對他說：「我們去各地的水泉和河谷，也許可以找到草救活騾馬，不致喪失牲畜。」

地上還沒有草木菜蔬，因為耶和華上帝還沒有降雨在地上，土地也沒有人耕作，

你種地，地卻不會再為你長出任何東西，你必在地上四處漂泊。」
