寬綽惟主。諒我人性。我本泥土。主所陶甄。

He knows what we are made of. He remembers that we are dust.

For he knows our frame; he remembers that we are dust.

For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.

For he knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.

For He Himself knows our form; He is mindful that we are nothing but dust.

For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

For he knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.

For He knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.

For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay.

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”

Remember that you molded me like clay. Will you now turn me to dust again?

Remember how fleeting is my life. For what futility you have created all humanity!

Yet he was merciful; he forgave their iniquities and did not destroy them. Time after time he restrained his anger and did not stir up his full wrath.He remembered that they were but flesh, a passing breeze that does not return.

and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it,“ You did not make me”? Can the pot say to the potter,“ You know nothing”?

My body is clothed with worms and scabs, my skin is broken and festering.“ My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and they come to an end without hope.Remember, O God, that my life is but a breath; my eyes will never see happiness again.

Will you torment a windblown leaf? Will you chase after dry chaff?

Why do you not pardon my offenses and forgive my sins? For I will soon lie down in the dust; you will search for me, but I will be no more.”
