寬綽惟主。諒我人性。我本泥土。主所陶甄。

for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

He knows what we are made of. He remembers that we are dust.

For he knows how weak we are; he remembers we are only dust.

For he knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.

For He Himself knows our form; He is mindful that we are nothing but dust.

For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.

For he knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.

For He knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.

For he knows what we are made of; he realizes we are made of clay.

By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”

Remember that you have made me like clay; and will you return me to the dust?

Remember how short my time is! For what vanity you have created all the children of man!

Yet he, being compassionate, atoned for their iniquity and did not destroy them; he restrained his anger often and did not stir up all his wrath.He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes and comes not again.

and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker,“ He did not make me”; or the thing formed say of him who formed it,“ He has no understanding”?

My flesh is clothed with worms and dirt; my skin hardens, then breaks out afresh.My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle and come to their end without hope.“ Remember that my life is a breath; my eye will never again see good.

Will you frighten a driven leaf and pursue dry chaff?

Why do you not pardon my transgression and take away my iniquity? For now I shall lie in the earth; you will seek me, but I shall not be.”
