人能敬主。必蒙青睞。父之憐子。尚有不逮。

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him;

A father is tender and kind to his children. In the same way, the Lord is tender and kind to those who have respect for him.

As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.

The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

As a father pities his children, So the Lord pities those who fear Him.

Like as a father pitieth his children, So Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.

and you have forgotten the exhortation which is addressed to you as sons,“ My son, do not regard lightly the discipline of the Lord, Nor faint when you are punished by Him;For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, And He punishes every son whom He accepts.”It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.Furthermore, we had earthly fathers to discipline us, and we respected them; shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits, and live?For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.For the moment, all discipline seems not to be pleasant, but painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.

Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him, I certainly still remember him; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will certainly have mercy on him,” declares the Lord.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting for those who fear Him, And His justice to the children’s children,

For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, Just as a father disciplines the son in whom he delights.

Now which one of you fathers will his son ask for a fish, and instead of a fish, he will give him a snake?Or he will even ask for an egg, and his father will give him a scorpion?

Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened attentively and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and esteem His name.“ And they will be Mine,” says the Lord of armies,“ on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will have compassion for them just as a man has compassion for his own son who serves him.”

And the son said to him,‘ Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’But the father said to his slaves,‘ Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet;

They will come with weeping, And by pleading I will bring them; I will lead them by streams of waters, On a straight path on which they will not stumble; For I am a father to Israel, And Ephraim is My firstborn.”

For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.

Look down from heaven and see from Your holy and glorious lofty habitation; Where are Your zeal and Your mighty deeds? The stirrings of Your heart and Your compassion are restrained toward me.For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us And Israel does not recognize us. You, Lord, are our Father, Our Redeemer from ancient times is Your name.

The Lord favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His faithfulness.

Was it I who conceived all this people? Or did I give birth to them, that You should say to me,‘ Carry them in your arms, as a nurse carries a nursing infant, to the land which You swore to their fathers’?

“ Brothers, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us the message of this salvation has been sent.

All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars, besides a great many unwalled towns.

“ Pray, then, in this way:‘ Our Father, who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.

Jesus* said to her,“ Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brothers and say to them,‘ I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’ ”
