for God will save Zion and build up the cities of Judah. They will live there and possess it.The descendants of His servants will inherit it, and those who love His name will live in it.
Your sons will succeed your ancestors; you will make them princes throughout the land.I will cause your name to be remembered for all generations; therefore the peoples will praise you forever and ever.
“ The Redeemer will come to Zion, and to those in Jacob who turn from transgression.” This is the Lord’s declaration.“ As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the Lord:“ My Spirit who is on you, and My words that I have put in your mouth, will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouth of your children, or from the mouth of your children’s children, from now on and forever,” says the Lord.
Their descendants will serve Him; the next generation will be told about the Lord.They will come and tell a people yet to be born about His righteousness— what He has done.
Yet the Lord was pleased to crush Him severely. When You make Him a restitution offering, He will see His seed, He will prolong His days, and by His hand, the Lord’s pleasure will be accomplished.
They will not build and others live in them; they will not plant and others eat. For My people’s lives will be like the lifetime of a tree. My chosen ones will fully enjoy the work of their hands.
“ For just as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will endure before Me”— this is the Lord’s declaration—“ so your offspring and your name will endure.
Let Your work be seen by Your servants, and Your splendor by their children.Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish for us the work of our hands— establish the work of our hands!
