From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears.

But Hannah answered and said,“ No, my lord, I am a woman despairing in spirit; I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have poured out my soul before the Lord.Do not consider your bond servant a useless woman, for I have spoken until now out of my great concern and provocation.”

Save me, God, For the waters have threatened my life.I have sunk in deep mud, and there is no foothold; I have come into deep waters, and a flood overflows me.

“ About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him as ruler over My people Israel; and he will save My people from the hand of the Philistines. For I have considered My people, because their outcry has come to Me.”

“ Hear my prayer, Lord, and listen to my cry for help; Do not be silent to my tears; For I am a stranger with You, One who lives abroad, like all my fathers.

And being in agony, He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground].

You have veiled Yourself with a cloud So that no prayer can pass through.

Answer me quickly, Lord, my spirit fails; Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will be the same as those who go down to the pit.

In the days of His humanity, He offered up both prayers and pleas with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His devout behavior.

Therefore my spirit feels weak within me; My heart is appalled within me.

I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare my trouble before Him.When my spirit felt weak within me, You knew my path. In the way where I walk They have hidden a trap for me.

So they removed the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord; and He could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

Listen to the sound of my cry for help, my King and my God, For to You I pray.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings.

Listen to my prayer, God; And do not hide Yourself from my pleading.Give Your attention to me and answer me; I am restless in my complaint and severely distracted,Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the pressure of the wicked; For they bring down trouble upon me And in anger they hold a grudge against me.My heart is in anguish within me, And the terrors of death have fallen upon me.Fear and trembling come upon me, And horror has overwhelmed me.

He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry for help and save them.

So I say,“ My strength has failed, And so has my hope from the Lord.”Remember my misery and my homelessness, the wormwood and bitterness.My soul certainly remembers, And is bent over within me.

Blessed is one who considers the helpless; The Lord will save him on a day of trouble.The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, And he will be called blessed upon the earth; And do not turn him over to the desire of his enemies.

Be gracious to me, God, be gracious to me, For my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge Until destruction passes by.I will cry to God Most High, To God who accomplishes all things for me.He will send from heaven and save me; He rebukes the one who tramples upon me. Selah God will send His favor and His truth.

I remember these things and pour out my soul within me. For I used to go over with the multitude and walk them to the house of God, With a voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude celebrating a festival.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your hearts before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

And He* took with Him Peter, James, and John, and began to be very distressed and troubled.And He* said to them,“ My soul is deeply grieved, to the point of death; remain here and keep watch.”

“ Because of the devastation of the poor, because of the groaning of the needy, Now I will arise,” says the Lord;“ I will put him in the safety for which he longs.”

When I remember God, then I am restless; When I sigh, then my spirit feels weak. Selah
