I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.

I won’t look at anything that is evil and call it good. I hate the acts of people who aren’t faithful to you. I won’t have anything to do with those things.

I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me.

I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.

I will not let anything worthless guide me. I hate the practice of transgression; it will not cling to me.

Lust not after her beauty in thy heart; Neither let her take thee with her eyelids.

Blessed is the man that maketh Jehovah his trust, And respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Therefore be ye very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;

Beware that there be not a base thought in thy heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou give him nought; and he cry unto Jehovah against thee, and it be sin unto thee.

Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this also is vanity and a striving after wind.

And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have indeed done all this evil; yet turn not aside from following Jehovah, but serve Jehovah with all your heart:and turn ye not aside; for then would ye go after vain things which cannot profit nor deliver, for they are vain.

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

but now that ye have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how turn ye back again to the weak and beggarly rudiments, whereunto ye desire to be in bondage over again?

But thine eyes and thy heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.

they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed unto it, and said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

And they turned again and tempted God, And provoked the Holy One of Israel.

get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.

I hate them that are of a double mind; But thy law do I love.

For it were better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

But we are not of them that shrink back unto perdition; but of them that have faith unto the saving of the soul.

And there shall cleave nought of the devoted thing to thy hand; that Jehovah may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and show thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;

And they covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.For all his ordinances were before me, And I put not away his statutes from me.I was also perfect with him, And I kept myself from mine iniquity.

It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king; for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And Samuel was wroth; and he cried unto Jehovah all night.

And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house; and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it: or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.And Naboth said to Ahab, Jehovah forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him; for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread.But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thy heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, and that dwelt with Naboth.And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people:and set two men, base fellows, before him, and let them bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst curse God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him to death.And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who dwelt in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, according as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people.And the two men, the base fellows, came in and sat before him: and the base fellows bare witness against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did curse God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him to death with stones.Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money; for Naboth is not alive, but dead.And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it.And the word of Jehovah came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who dwelleth in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to take possession of it.And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith Jehovah, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee, because thou hast sold thyself to do that which is evil in the sight of Jehovah.Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will utterly sweep thee away and will cut off from Ahab every man- child, and him that is shut up and him that is left at large in Israel:and I will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and hast made Israel to sin.And of Jezebel also spake Jehovah, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the rampart of Jezreel.Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the birds of the heavens eat.( But there was none like unto Ahab, who did sell himself to do that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites did, whom Jehovah cast out before the children of Israel.)And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly.And the word of Jehovah came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days; but in his son’s day will I bring the evil upon his house.

I said, I will take heed to my ways, That I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, While the wicked is before me.

I have not sat with men of falsehood; Neither will I go in with dissemblers.I hate the assembly of evil- doers, And will not sit with the wicked.

The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: He hath ceased to be wise and to do good.

He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from taking a bribe, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil:

O ye that love Jehovah, hate evil: He preserveth the souls of his saints; He delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

But turned back, and dealt treacherously like their fathers: They were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

and them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship, that swear to Jehovah and swear by Malcam;and them that are turned back from following Jehovah; and those that have not sought Jehovah, nor inquired after him.

For they have made ready their heart like an oven, while they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire.They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me.

But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
