like a lion in cover he lies in wait. He lies in wait to catch the helpless; he catches the helpless and drags them off in his net.

They hide and wait like a lion in the bushes. From their hiding places they wait to catch those who are helpless. They catch them and drag them off in their nets.

Like lions crouched in hiding, they wait to pounce on the helpless. Like hunters they capture the helpless and drag them away in nets.

He lurketh in secret as a lion in his covert; He lieth in wait to catch the poor: He doth catch the poor, when he draweth him in his net.

彼若獅兮、欲我是噬、若稚獅兮、耽耽穴視、

耶和華兮、我未嘗獲罪於彼、強者咸集、設伏以害予兮。

貧乏之士、強者虐之、蒙耶和華援手兮、我殫心畢志、謂耶和華誠無可比儗兮、

敵至若颶風、欲使余四散、暗噬貧民、彼之所喜惟爾、以厥戈矛、殲其巨魁、

傭非羊牧、羊非傭羊、傭見狼至、棄羊而逃、狼獲羊而群散矣、

今也牝獅之穴安在、穉獅之洞何存、昔者牝獅牡獅、俱游於斯、無人叱之、牡獅斷物、以子穉獅、牡獅攫物、以子牝獅、居處之穴中、所得之物充盈焉。

虐貧者適以富之、祐富人適以貧之。

爾蹂躪貧乏、橫征麥稅、雖以雕石建廣廈、不得居其中、雖以葡萄栽嘉園、不得飲其酒、我知爾罪戾繁多、愆尤滋大、困逼義人、而受賄賂、在彼公庭、枉法害貧、

敵以鈎釣我、以網捕我、既得我眾、喜不自勝、

貧者脫之於噬嗑、援之於強暴。匱乏者不失望、不義者無敢言。

耶和華又曰、以色列犯罪、至三至四、更鬻義人以得金、以貧者易履、故我必罰其罪、貧者蒙灰、彼猶貪得之、人已遭困乏、更使迷途、父子聚麀、瀆我聖名、

維此貧民、受屈欷歔、耶和華曰、余必勃然而興、手援之兮、不使藐視於人斯。

主欲執余、有若熊獅、伏於密林兮。

未曾攫物、牡獅豈得吼於林、稚獅豈得應於洞、

維此驕人、在彼途旁、掘坎阱、張絆索、以陷余兮、設罟網、置機檻、以害余兮。

貪婪之輩、行為則邪僻、計謀則詭秘、凌虐貧乏、詆毀懿行、

牧人所娛玩者已毀、群作哀歌、約但之叢林已伐、稚獅咆哮、其聲遙聞。

蹂躪我民、虐遇窮乏、果何為哉、

虐遇貧乏者、侮造化之主、矜憫窮民者則尊之。

中有一獅、日漸長大、能搏物噬人、列國聞之、陷以坑阱、繫以鐵索、曳至埃及。牝獅望子不回、復撫一子、日漸長大、往來於眾獅間、能搏物噬人、

暴君虐貧民、若咆哮之獅、饑餓之熊。

斯土之民、虐遇人、強暴人、挾制貧乏、侮慢羈旅、

中有惡人、匿於歧途、備設羅網、專務陷人、

爾勿從之、蓋有四十餘人、誓不殺保羅、不飲食、今已預備、惟在爾一言耳、

惡者拔刃張弓、欲害貧乏、欲戮善良、

貧乏之人、爾左之右之、敵人罪予、欲加殘害、爾佑余兮。
