耽耽虎視。窮民遭殃。

They hide and wait like a lion in the bushes. From their hiding places they wait to catch those who are helpless. They catch them and drag them off in their nets.

Like lions crouched in hiding, they wait to pounce on the helpless. Like hunters they capture the helpless and drag them away in nets.

他們像急於撕碎獵物的餓獅，又像蹲伏在暗處的猛獅。

看啊，他們要暗害我。耶和華啊，我並未犯罪作惡，兇殘的人卻攻擊我。

虔敬人已從大地上滅絕，世間再沒有正直人。人人伺機殺人流血，用網羅獵取自己的弟兄。

我從心底發出讚歎：耶和華啊，誰能像你？你拯救弱者免受欺壓，拯救窮人免遭掠奪。

他們的軍隊如旋風而至，要驅散我們，他們以暗中吞噬貧民為樂，但你用他們的矛刺透他們的頭顱。

如果是僱工，不是牧人，羊也不是他的，狼一來，他必撇下羊逃命。狼就會抓住羊，把羊群驅散。

如今那獅子的洞穴，那餵養壯獅的地方在哪裡呢？從前，雄獅、母獅和幼獅曾在那裡出入，無人驚擾。雄獅為幼獅撕碎充足的食物，為母獅掐死獵物，洞穴裡堆滿獵物，堆滿撕碎的肉。

靠壓榨窮人斂財和送禮給富人的，都必窮困潦倒。

你們踐踏窮人，對他們橫徵暴斂。因此，你們用鑿過的石頭建房，卻不得居住在裡面；你們種植佳美的葡萄園，卻喝不到葡萄酒。我知道你們的過犯眾多、罪惡無數。你們迫害義人，收受賄賂，在城門口冤枉窮人。

迦勒底人用鉤子鉤住他們，用漁網網住他們，用拖網把他們聚在一起，並因此而歡喜快樂。

上帝拯救窮苦人脫離惡人的中傷，脫離殘暴之徒的轄制，好使貧寒之人有盼望，使不義之徒啞口無言。

耶和華說：「以色列人三番四次地犯罪，我必不收回對他們的懲罰，因為他們為了銀子賣掉義人，為了一雙鞋子賣掉窮人。他們踐踏窮人如同踐踏地上的塵土，使卑微的人無處伸冤；父子同淫一女，褻瀆我的聖名。

耶和華說：「我要保護受欺壓的困苦人和哀歎的貧窮人，使他們如願以償。」

祂像埋伏的巨熊，又像伺機突襲的猛獅，

若非捕到獵物，獅子怎會在林中咆哮呢？若非獵獲食物，猛獅怎會在洞中吼叫呢？

傲慢人在我的路上暗設網羅，佈下圈套，挖了陷阱。（細拉）

惡棍們手段邪惡，用陰謀詭計和謊言毀滅困苦的人，即使窮人的訴求有理也是枉然。

聽啊，牧人在哀號，因為他們肥美的草場已被毀壞。聽啊，獅子在吼叫，因為約旦河畔的叢林已被毀壞。

你們為何壓榨我的子民，虐待貧窮人？」這是主——萬軍之耶和華說的。

欺壓窮人等於侮辱造物主，憐憫貧弱就是尊敬造物主。

她養大一隻幼獅，使牠成為雄壯的獅子。牠學會了捕食吃人。列國的人知道後，便設陷阱捉住牠，用鉤子拉到埃及。母獅盼著牠回來，眼見指望落空，便又養育一頭幼獅，使牠成為雄壯的獅子。牠出入獅群，學會了捕食和吃人。

暴虐的君王轄制窮人，如咆哮的獅、覓食的熊。

你的居民強取豪奪，欺壓貧困的，虐待寄居的，無法無天。

我的子民中有惡人，他們像捕鳥人一樣埋伏等候，設下網羅陷害人。

你不要答應他們，因為他們有四十多個人會埋伏在半路，並且還起誓說，『不殺保羅就不吃不喝』。他們現在已經準備就緒，就等你答應了。」

惡人拔劍張弓要消滅窮苦人，殺戮正直人，

因為祂保護貧窮的人，拯救他們脫離置他們於死地的人。
