飽其欲而自矜、取不義而自足、於耶和華而欺之兮。

惡人得其所欲、即自誇張、得不義之財而感謝主、反輕褻主、

驕矜自慢兮。目無主宰。刼奪人財兮。逍遙法外。

He boasts about the cravings of his heart; he blesses the greedy and reviles the Lord.

He brags about what his heart desires. He speaks well of those who always want more. He attacks the Lord with his words.

For the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul, and the one greedy for gain curses and renounces the Lord.

For they brag about their evil desires; they praise the greedy and curse the Lord.

For the wicked one boasts about his own cravings; the one who is greedy curses and despises the LORD.

For the wicked boasts of his soul’s desire, And the greedy person curses and shows disrespect to the Lord.

For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.

For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, And the covetous renounceth, yea, contemneth Jehovah.

For the wicked one boasts about his own cravings; the one who is greedy curses and despises the Lord.

For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous,[ whom] the LORD abhorreth.

Yes, the wicked man boasts because he gets what he wants; the one who robs others curses and rejects the LORD.

They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

But your eyes and your heart are only for your covetousness, for shedding innocent blood, for oppression, and for doing violence.”

Are there yet treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and a short ephah that is accursed?Shall I be pure with dishonest scales, and with a bag of deceitful weights?Her rich men are full of violence, her inhabitants speak lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their speech.

I will tell my soul,“ Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”’

Those who trust in their wealth, and boast in the multitude of their riches—

Their buyers slaughter them, and go unpunished. Those who sell them say,‘ Blessed be Yahweh, for I am rich;’ and their own shepherds don’t pity them.For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land,” says Yahweh;“ but, behold, I will deliver the men everyone into his neighbor’s hand, and into the hand of his king. They will strike the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.”So I fed the flock of slaughter, especially the oppressed of the flock. I took for myself two staffs. The one I called“ Favor”, and the other I called“ Union”, and I fed the flock.I cut off the three shepherds in one month; for my soul was weary of them, and their soul also loathed me.

Their inward thought is that their houses will endure forever, and their dwelling places to all generations. They name their lands after themselves.But man, despite his riches, doesn’t endure. He is like the animals that perish.This is the destiny of those who are foolish, and of those who approve their sayings. Selah.

You will destroy those who speak lies. Yahweh abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.

A merchant has dishonest scales in his hand. He loves to defraud.Ephraim said,“ Surely I have become rich, I have found myself wealth. In all my wealth they won’t find in me any iniquity that is sin.”

Saul said,“ You are blessed by Yahweh; for you have had compassion on me.

being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,

Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; but those who keep the law contend with them.

“ If I have made gold my hope, and have said to the fine gold,‘ You are my confidence;’

The enemy said,‘ I will pursue. I will overtake. I will divide the plunder. My desire will be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword. My hand will destroy them.’

I was angry because of the iniquity of his covetousness and struck him. I hid myself and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.

He said to them,“ Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”

For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self- control, fierce, not lovers of good,traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.

who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.

But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him.

Know this for sure, that no sexually immoral person, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and God.

Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.

Come now, you who say,“ Today or tomorrow let’s go into this city, and spend a year there, trade, and make a profit.”

and said,“ What are you willing to give me, that I should deliver him to you?” They weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.From that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

Why do you boast of mischief, mighty man? God’s loving kindness endures continually.

The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they scoffed at him.He said to them,“ You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts. For that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said,“ Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!”

However he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.For he says,“ Aren’t all of my princes kings?Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria;shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

Though while he lived he blessed his soul— and men praise you when you do well for yourself—

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom.

Woe to him who gets an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!

Yahweh saw and abhorred, because of the provocation of his sons and his daughters.

and it happen, when he hears the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying,“ I shall have peace, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart,” to destroy the moist with the dry.

They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.

But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.
