Listen, for I will speak excellent things, and my lips will utter what is right.

你們聽啊，我要說美好的話，開口談論正直的事。

你們聽著，因為我要講論極美的事，我要開口說正直的事；

你們要聽，因為我要講對的事；我的嘴脣要說出正直的事。

你們當聽！因為我要講高貴的事，要張嘴說公平的事；

我言殊善、啟口皆正、爾其聽之、

我所言者、善也義也、尚其聽從。

我啟口所言、乃至善至正、爾其聽之、

Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say; I open my lips to speak what is right.

Listen! I have things to say that you can depend on. I open my lips to speak what is right.

Hear, for I will speak noble things, and from my lips will come what is right,

Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you. Everything I say is right,

Listen, for I speak of noble things, and what my lips say is right.

Listen, for I will speak noble things; And the opening of my lips will reveal right things.

Listen, for I will speak of excellent things, And from the opening of my lips will come right things;

Hear, for I will speak excellent things; And the opening of my lips shall be right things.

When Jesus finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed by his teaching,because he taught them like one who had authority, not like their experts in the law.

For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.He stores up effective counsel for the upright, and is like a shield for those who live with integrity,

“ But now, O Job, listen to my words, and hear everything I have to say!See now, I have opened my mouth; my tongue in my mouth has spoken.My words come from the uprightness of my heart, and my lips will utter knowledge sincerely.

Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge,to show you true and reliable words, so that you may give accurate answers to those who sent you?

I will declare a wise saying; I will share my profound thoughts.

Then he began to teach them by saying:“ Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.“ Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.“ Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.“ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied.“ Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.“ Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.“ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.“ Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to them.“ Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you and say all kinds of evil things about you falsely on account of me.Rejoice and be glad because your reward is great in heaven, for they persecuted the prophets before you in the same way.

My child, pay attention to my words; listen attentively to my sayings.Do not let them depart from your sight, guard them within your heart;for they are life to those who find them and healing to one’s entire body.

The law of the LORD is perfect and preserves one’s life. The rules set down by the LORD are reliable and impart wisdom to the inexperienced.The LORD’s precepts are fair and make one joyful. The LORD’s commands are pure and give insight for life.The commands to fear the LORD are right and endure forever. The judgments given by the LORD are trustworthy and absolutely just.They are of greater value than gold, than even a great amount of pure gold; they bring greater delight than honey, than even the sweetest honey from a honeycomb.Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.

my soul will rejoice when your lips speak what is right.

This fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet:“ I will open my mouth in parables, I will announce what has been hidden from the foundation of the world.”

that is, the mystery that has been kept hidden from ages and generations, but has now been revealed to his saints.

Now we do speak wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are perishing.Instead we speak the wisdom of God, hidden in a mystery, that God determined before the ages for our glory.

Because I give you good instruction, do not forsake my teaching.
