O simple ones, learn prudence; O fools, learn sense.

You simple people, use good judgment. You foolish people, show some understanding.

Learn to be shrewd, you who are inexperienced; develop common sense, you who are foolish.

You naive ones, understand prudence; And, you fools, understand wisdom!

O you simple ones, understand prudence, And you fools, be of an understanding heart.

O ye simple, understand prudence; And, ye fools, be of an understanding heart.

You say,‘ I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. (niv)

for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young— (niv)

to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ (niv)

The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. (niv)

“ Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David. (niv)

The Lord will march out like a champion, like a warrior he will stir up his zeal; with a shout he will raise the battle cry and will triumph over his enemies. (niv)

“ Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says, (niv)

Take notice, you senseless ones among the people; you fools, when will you become wise? (niv)

God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things— and the things that are not— to nullify the things that are, (niv)
