By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just;

By me kings rule. Leaders make laws that are fair.

By me kings reign, and rulers decree what is just;

Because of me, kings reign, and rulers make just decrees.

It is by me that kings reign and rulers enact just law;

Kings reign by means of me, and potentates decree righteousness;

Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God.

He changes the times and the seasons. He removes kings, and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding.

Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying,“ All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written,“ KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war.

All Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king; for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do justice.

I will restore your judges as at the first, and your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you shall be called‘ The city of righteousness, a faithful town.’

You shall be driven from men; and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass as oxen. Seven times shall pass over you, until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.’”

Yahweh said to Samuel,“ How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him from being king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil, and go. I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite; for I have provided a king for myself among his sons.”

‘ I have made the earth, the men, and the animals that are on the surface of the earth by my great power and by my outstretched arm. I give it to whom it seems right to me.Now I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant. I have also given the animals of the field to him to serve him.All the nations will serve him, his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land comes. Then many nations and great kings will make him their bondservant.

When Samuel saw Saul, Yahweh said to him,“ Behold, the man of whom I spoke to you! He will have authority over my people.”

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

God, give the king your justice; your righteousness to the royal son.He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice.The mountains shall bring prosperity to the people. The hills bring the fruit of righteousness.He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces.

Give your servant therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this great people of yours?”

“ I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.Dominion was given him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom that which will not be destroyed.

Blessed is Yahweh your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because Yahweh loved Israel forever, therefore he made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”

that you shall be driven from men, and your dwelling shall be with the animals of the field. You shall be made to eat grass as oxen, and shall be wet with the dew of the sky, and seven times shall pass over you; until you know that the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomever he will.

The King’s strength also loves justice. You establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

“ In those days and at that time, I will cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David. He will execute justice and righteousness in the land.

Of all my sons( for Yahweh has given me many sons), he has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of Yahweh’s kingdom over Israel.

When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he rejoiced greatly, and said,“ Blessed is Yahweh today, who has given to David a wise son to rule over this great people.”

“ You, king, the Most High God gave Nebuchadnezzar your father the kingdom, and greatness, and glory, and majesty.Because of the greatness that he gave him, all the peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. He killed whom he wanted to, and he kept alive whom he wanted to. He raised up whom he wanted to, and he put down whom he wanted to.But when his heart was lifted up, and his spirit was hardened so that he dealt proudly, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him.He was driven from the sons of men, and his heart was made like the animals’, and his dwelling was with the wild donkeys. He was fed with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of the sky; until he knew that the Most High God rules in the kingdom of men, and that he sets up over it whomever he will.“ You, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this,but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. You have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which don’t see, or hear, or know; and you have not glorified the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways.Then the part of the hand was sent from before him, and this writing was inscribed.“ This is the writing that was inscribed:‘ MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.’“ This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE: God has counted your kingdom, and brought it to an end.TEKEL: you are weighed in the balances, and are found wanting.PERES: your kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.”Then Belshazzar commanded, and they clothed Daniel with purple, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.In that night Belshazzar the Chaldean King was slain.Darius the Mede received the kingdom, being about sixty- two years old.
