The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil. Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.

All who fear the Lord will hate evil. Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance, corruption and perverse speech.

要離開歪曲的口，轉離偏邪的嘴唇。

各樣惡事要禁戒。

邪僻的事，我都不擺在我眼前；悖逆的人所做的事，我甚恨惡，不容沾在我身上。

你的一切訓詞，在萬事上我都以為正直；我恨惡一切虛假的行徑。

無賴的惡徒行事全憑歪曲的口，

驕傲在敗壞以先，內心高傲在跌倒之前。

耶和華所恨惡的有六樣，他心所憎惡的共有七樣：就是高傲的眼，撒謊的舌，殺害無辜的手，圖謀惡計的心，飛奔行惡的腳，口吐謊言的假證人，並在弟兄間散播紛爭的人。

我藉着你的訓詞得以明白，因此，我恨惡一切虛假的行徑。

要恨惡邪惡，喜愛良善，在城門口秉公行義；或者耶和華－萬軍之上帝會施恩給約瑟的餘民。

愛，不可虛假；惡，要厭惡；善，要親近。

因為你不是喜愛邪惡的上帝，惡人不能與你同住。狂傲的人不能站在你眼前；凡作惡的，都是你所恨惡的。

誰都不可心裏謀害鄰舍，也不可喜愛起假誓，因為這些事都為我所恨惡。這是耶和華說的。」

耶和華雖崇高，卻看顧卑微的人；驕傲的人，他從遠處即能認出。

義人的口結出智慧；乖謬的舌必被割斷。
