for wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.

Wisdom is worth more than rubies. Nothing you want can compare with her.

Pure gold cannot be given in exchange for it, Nor can silver be weighed as its price.It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir, In precious onyx, or sapphire.Gold or glass cannot equal it, Nor can it be exchanged for articles of pure gold.Coral and crystal are not to be mentioned; And the acquisition of wisdom is more valuable than pearls.The topaz of Cush cannot equal it, Nor can it be valued in pure gold.

More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them mere rubbish, so that I may gain Christ,and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,

There is gold, and an abundance of jewels; But lips of knowledge are a more precious thing.

Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding! Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth.Do not abandon her, and she will guard you; Love her, and she will watch over you.The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your possessions, acquire understanding.

Therefore I love Your commandments Above gold, yes, above pure gold.

For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
