Make your ear attentive to wisdom; Incline your heart to understanding.For if you cry out for insight, And raise your voice for understanding;If you seek her as silver And search for her as for hidden treasures;

“ Oh that you were like a brother to me Who nursed at my mother’s breasts. If I found you outdoors, I would kiss you; No one would despise me, either.

Do not abandon her, and she will guard you; Love her, and she will watch over you.The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your possessions, acquire understanding.Prize her, and she will exalt you; She will honor you if you embrace her.

And extending His hand toward His disciples, He said,“ Behold: My mother and My brothers!For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother, and sister, and mother.”

If I call to the grave,‘ You are my father’; To the maggot,‘ my mother and my sister’;

While Jesus was saying these things, one of the women in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him,“ Blessed is the womb that carried You, and the breasts at which You nursed!”But He said,“ On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”
