因為她使許多人喪命，被她殺害的數目眾多。

因為她使許多人倒斃，被她殺害的實在無數。

因為她所擊倒而死的很多；她所殺戮的實在無數。

要知道，被她刺透而倒下的人有許多，連無數強者都被她殺死；

蓋彼所傷而仆者孔多、所殺者甚眾、

維彼淫婦、傷人孔多、殺人亦不少。

蓋被其傷仆者不少、被其殺害者甚眾、

Many are the victims she has brought down; her slain are a mighty throng.

She has brought down a lot of men. She has killed a huge crowd.

For she has been the ruin of many; many men have been her victims.

For she has brought many down to death; her victims are countless.

For many are the victims she has brought to ruin, And numerous are all those slaughtered by her.

For she has cast down many wounded, And all who were slain by her were strong men.

For she hath cast down many wounded: Yea, all her slain are a mighty host.

For she has brought many down to death; her victims are countless.

For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong[ men] have been slain by her.

for she has brought down many fatally wounded, and all those she has slain are many.

for she has thrown down many wounded. Yes, all her slain are a mighty army.

Did not Solomon king of Israel sin on account of such women? Among the many nations there was no king like him, and he was beloved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel. Nevertheless, foreign women made even him to sin.

I fear that when I come again my God may humble me before you, and I may have to mourn over many of those who sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality that they have practiced.

Why have you despised the word of the Lord, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’Thus says the Lord,‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day.

He will get wounds and dishonor, and his disgrace will not be wiped away.

Now King Solomon loved many foreign women, along with the daughter of Pharaoh: Moabite, Ammonite, Edomite, Sidonian, and Hittite women,from the nations concerning which the Lord had said to the people of Israel,“ You shall not enter into marriage with them, neither shall they with you, for surely they will turn away your heart after their gods.” Solomon clung to these in love.

Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.
