和有夫之妇通奸的，实在愚不可及，他是自寻死路。

和妇人通奸的，实在无知；行这事的，是自我毁灭。

与女人通奸的，缺乏心智；行这事的，毁灭自己。

與婦人行淫的，便是無知；行這事的，必喪掉生命。

與婦人行姦淫的，便是無知，做這事的，必毀了自己。

與婦人行姦淫的，便是無知，做這事的，必毀了自己。

和有夫之婦通姦的，實在愚不可及，他是自尋死路。

和婦人通姦的，實在無知；行這事的，是自我毀滅。

至於跟婦人行淫的呢、卻是全無心思；行這事的，乃是毁滅自己。

與女人通姦的，缺乏心智；行這事的，毀滅自己。

淫人妻者、乃乏知識、凡行此者、必喪己命、

淫人妻者、必無智慧、己之生命、因以喪亡。

淫人妻者甚為無知、行此者必喪己命、

A man who commits adultery has no sense. Anyone who does it destroys himself.

He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.

But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys himself.

The one who commits adultery lacks sense; whoever does so destroys himself.

One who commits adultery with a woman is lacking sense; He who would destroy himself commits it.

Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.

He that committeth adultery with a woman is void of understanding: He doeth it who would destroy his own soul.

The one who commits adultery lacks sense; whoever does so destroys himself.

[ But] whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he[ that] doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, whoever does it destroys his own life.

He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.

I saw among the simple, I noticed among the young men, a youth who had no sense.

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you.

“ You shall not commit adultery.

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”And though she spoke to Joseph day after day, he refused to go to bed with her or even be with her.

Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear:

All at once he followed her like an ox going to the slaughter, like a deer stepping into a noosetill an arrow pierces his liver, like a bird darting into a snare, little knowing it will cost him his life.

Surely her house leads down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.None who go to her return or attain the paths of life.

Although they claimed to be wise, they became foolsand exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.

So I turned my mind to understand, to investigate and to search out wisdom and the scheme of things and to understand the stupidity of wickedness and the madness of folly.I find more bitter than death the woman who is a snare, whose heart is a trap and whose hands are chains. The man who pleases God will escape her, but the sinner she will ensnare.

“ You are destroyed, Israel, because you are against me, against your helper.

“ Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says,“ Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!”But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.

“ Let all who are simple come to my house!” To those who have no sense she says,

Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel?

to prostitution; old wine and new wine take away their understanding.My people consult a wooden idol, and a diviner’s rod speaks to them. A spirit of prostitution leads them astray; they are unfaithful to their God.

The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly.

They are well-fed, lusty stallions, each neighing for another man’s wife.

But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death.”
