A man who commits adultery has no sense. Anyone who does it destroys himself.

与妇人行淫的，便是无知；行这事的，必丧掉生命。

与妇人行奸淫的，便是无知，做这事的，必毁了自己。

与妇人行奸淫的，便是无知，做这事的，必毁了自己。

和有夫之妇通奸的，实在愚不可及，他是自寻死路。

和妇人通奸的，实在无知；行这事的，是自我毁灭。

与女人通奸的，缺乏心智；行这事的，毁灭自己。

與婦人行淫的，便是無知；行這事的，必喪掉生命。

與婦人行姦淫的，便是無知，做這事的，必毀了自己。

與婦人行姦淫的，便是無知，做這事的，必毀了自己。

和有夫之婦通姦的，實在愚不可及，他是自尋死路。

和婦人通姦的，實在無知；行這事的，是自我毀滅。

至於跟婦人行淫的呢、卻是全無心思；行這事的，乃是毁滅自己。

與女人通姦的，缺乏心智；行這事的，毀滅自己。

淫人妻者、乃乏知識、凡行此者、必喪己命、

淫人妻者、必無智慧、己之生命、因以喪亡。

淫人妻者甚為無知、行此者必喪己命、

But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.

The one who commits adultery lacks sense; whoever does so destroys himself.

One who commits adultery with a woman is lacking sense; He who would destroy himself commits it.

Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.

He that committeth adultery with a woman is void of understanding: He doeth it who would destroy his own soul.

[ But] whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he[ that] doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, whoever does it destroys his own life.

Among those who were childish I saw a young man who had no sense.

Then Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ God has made all this known to you. No one is as wise and understanding as you are.

“ Do not commit adultery.

All of you should honor marriage. You should keep the marriage bed pure. God will judge the person who commits adultery. He will judge everyone who commits sexual sins.

No one in this house is in a higher position than I am. My master hasn’t held anything back from me, except you. You are his wife. So how could I do an evil thing like that? How could I sin against God?”She spoke to Joseph day after day. But he told her he wouldn’t go to bed with her. He didn’t even want to be with her.

‘ Listen to this, you foolish people, who do not have any sense. You have eyes, but you do not see. You have ears, but you do not hear.

All at once he followed her. He was like an ox going to be killed. He was like a deer stepping into a trapuntil an arrow struck its liver. He was like a bird rushing into a trap. Little did he know it would cost him his life!

Surely her house leads down to death. Her paths lead to the spirits of the dead.No one who goes to her comes back or reaches the paths of life.

They claimed to be wise. But they made fools of themselves.They would rather have statues of gods than the glorious God who lives forever. Their statues of gods are made to look like people, birds, animals and reptiles.So God let them go. He allowed them to do what their sinful hearts wanted to. He let them commit sexual sins. They made one another’s bodies impure by what they did.

So I tried to understand wisdom more completely. I wanted to study it and figure it out. I tried to find out everything I could about it. I tried to understand why it’s foolish to be evil. I wanted to see why choosing foolishness is so unwise.A woman who hunts a man down is more painful than death. Her heart is like a trap. Her hands are like chains. A man who pleases God will try to get away from her. But she will trap a sinner.

“ Israel, you will be destroyed. I helped you. But you turned against me.

“ Let all who are childish come to my house!” She speaks to those who have no sense.She says,“ Stolen water is sweet. Food eaten in secret tastes good!”But they don’t know that dead people are there. They don’t know that her guests are deep in the place of the dead.

She says,“ Let all who are childish come to my house!” She speaks to those who have no sense. She says,

Get rid of all the evil things you have done. Let me give you a new heart and a new spirit. Then you will be faithful to me. Why should you die, people of Israel?

with prostitutes. They drink old wine and fresh wine. Their drinking has destroyed their ability to understand.My people ask a wooden statue of a god for advice. They get answers from a stick of wood. They are as unfaithful as prostitutes. They are not faithful to their God.

Sinners are trapped by their own evil acts. They are held tight by the ropes of their sins.They will die because they refused to be corrected. Their sins will capture them because they were very foolish.

Your people are like stallions that have plenty to eat. Their sinful desires are out of control. Each of them goes after another man’s wife.

But those who don’t find me harm only themselves. Everyone who hates me loves death.”
