A man who commits adultery with a woman lacks wisdom, whoever does it destroys his own life.

与妇人行淫的，便是无知；行这事的，必丧掉生命。

与妇人行奸淫的，便是无知，做这事的，必毁了自己。

与妇人行奸淫的，便是无知，做这事的，必毁了自己。

和有夫之妇通奸的，实在愚不可及，他是自寻死路。

和妇人通奸的，实在无知；行这事的，是自我毁灭。

与女人通奸的，缺乏心智；行这事的，毁灭自己。

與婦人行淫的，便是無知；行這事的，必喪掉生命。

與婦人行姦淫的，便是無知，做這事的，必毀了自己。

與婦人行姦淫的，便是無知，做這事的，必毀了自己。

和有夫之婦通姦的，實在愚不可及，他是自尋死路。

和婦人通姦的，實在無知；行這事的，是自我毀滅。

至於跟婦人行淫的呢、卻是全無心思；行這事的，乃是毁滅自己。

與女人通姦的，缺乏心智；行這事的，毀滅自己。

淫人妻者、乃乏知識、凡行此者、必喪己命、

淫人妻者、必無智慧、己之生命、因以喪亡。

淫人妻者甚為無知、行此者必喪己命、

But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself.

A man who commits adultery has no sense. Anyone who does it destroys himself.

He who commits adultery lacks sense; he who does it destroys himself.

But the man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys himself.

The one who commits adultery lacks sense; whoever does so destroys himself.

One who commits adultery with a woman is lacking sense; He who would destroy himself commits it.

Whoever commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding; He who does so destroys his own soul.

He that committeth adultery with a woman is void of understanding: He doeth it who would destroy his own soul.

The one who commits adultery lacks sense; whoever does so destroys himself.

[ But] whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he[ that] doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding. He who does it destroys his own soul.

and I saw among the naive– I discerned among the youths– a young man who lacked wisdom.

So Pharaoh said to Joseph,“ Because God has enabled you to know all this, there is no one as wise and discerning as you are!

“ You shall not commit adultery.

Marriage must be honored among all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge sexually immoral people and adulterers.

There is no one greater in this household than I am. He has withheld nothing from me except you because you are his wife. So how could I do such a great evil and sin against God?”Even though she continued to speak to Joseph day after day, he did not respond to her invitation to have sex with her.

Tell them:‘ Hear this, you foolish people who have no understanding, who have eyes but do not discern, who have ears but do not perceive:

Suddenly he went after her like an ox that goes to the slaughter, like a stag prancing into a trapper’s snaretill an arrow pierces his liver– like a bird hurrying into a trap, and he does not know that it will cost him his life.

For her house sinks down to death, and her paths lead to the place of the departed spirits.None who go in to her will return, nor will they reach the paths of life.

Although they claimed to be wise, they became foolsand exchanged the glory of the immortal God for an image resembling mortal human beings or birds or four- footed animals or reptiles.Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity, to dishonor their bodies among themselves.

I tried to understand, examine, and comprehend the role of wisdom in the scheme of things, and to understand the stupidity of wickedness and the insanity of folly.I discovered this: More bitter than death is the kind of woman who is like a hunter’s snare; her heart is like a hunter’s net and her hands are like prison chains. The man who pleases God escapes her, but the sinner is captured by her.

I will destroy you, O Israel! Who is there to help you?

“ Whoever is simple, let him turn in here,” she says to those who lack understanding.“ Stolen waters are sweet, and food obtained in secret is pleasant!”But they do not realize that the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave.

“ Whoever is naive, let him turn in here,” she says to those who lack understanding.

Throw away all your sins you have committed and fashion yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why should you die, O house of Israel?

Old and new wine take away the understanding of my people.They consult their wooden idols, and their diviner’s staff answers with an oracle. The wind of prostitution blows them astray; they commit spiritual adultery against their God.

The wicked will be captured by his own iniquities, and he will be held by the cords of his own sin.He will die because there was no discipline; because of the greatness of his folly he will reel.

They are like lusty, well-fed stallions. Each of them lusts after his neighbor’s wife.

But the one who does not find me brings harm to himself; all who hate me love death.”
