It’s the one he wouldn’t sell to you. He isn’t alive anymore. He’s dead.”

A person who is a false witness against a neighbor is like a club, a sword or a sharp arrow.

If you don’t have wood, your fire goes out. If you don’t talk about others, arguing dies down.

They found witnesses who were willing to tell lies. These liars said,“ This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place. He also speaks against the law.

Suppose a witness who tells lies goes to court and brings charges against someone. The witness says someone committed a crime.Then the two people in the case must stand in front of the Lord. They must stand in front of the priests and the judges who are in office at that time.The judges must check out the matter carefully. And suppose the witness is proved to be lying. Then he has said something false in court against another Israelite.So do to the lying witness what he tried to do to the other person. Get rid of that evil witness.The rest of the people will hear about it. And they will be afraid. They won’t allow such an evil thing to be done among them again.

Mean people come forward to speak against me. They ask me things I don’t know anything about.
