如今弟子啊，務要聽我，不可離棄我口中的訓言。

諸子宜聽、勿違我口所言、

爾小子、尚其聽之、毋棄我言。

Listen, children, to a father’s instruction, and pay attention so that you may gain discernment.

Do not let them depart from your sight, guard them within your heart;

“ So now, children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.Listen to my instruction so that you may be wise, and do not neglect it.Blessed is the one who listens to me, watching at my doors day by day, waiting beside my doorway.For the one who finds me finds life and receives favor from the LORD.But the one who does not find me brings harm to himself; all who hate me love death.”

So now, sons, listen to me, and pay attention to the words I speak.

My child, do not let them escape from your sight; safeguard sound wisdom and discretion.

Incline your ear and listen to the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my instruction.For it is pleasing if you keep these sayings within you, and they are ready on your lips.So that your confidence may be in the LORD, I am making them known to you today– even you.Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge,to show you true and reliable words, so that you may give accurate answers to those who sent you?

Take care not to refuse the one who is speaking! For if they did not escape when they refused the one who warned them on earth, how much less shall we, if we reject the one who warns from heaven?
