“ And now, sons, listen to me; those who keep my ways are happy.Listen to instruction and be wise; don’t ignore it.Anyone who listens to me is happy, watching at my doors every day, waiting by the posts of my doorway.For the one who finds me finds life and obtains favor from the LORD,but the one who misses me harms himself; all who hate me love death.”

Maintain sound wisdom and discretion. My son, don’t lose sight of them.

Listen closely, pay attention to the words of the wise, and apply your mind to my knowledge.For it is pleasing if you keep them within you and if they are constantly on your lips.I have instructed you today— even you— so that your confidence may be in the LORD.Haven’t I written for you thirty sayings about counsel and knowledge,in order to teach you true and reliable words, so that you may give a dependable report to those who sent you?

See to it that you do not reject the one who speaks. For if they did not escape when they rejected him who warned them on earth, even less will we if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven.
