Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.They came near to the village where they were going, and he acted like he would go further.They urged him, saying,“ Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.” He went in to stay with them.

who, when he had come, and had seen the grace of God, was glad. He exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they should remain near to the Lord.

The man said,“ Let me go, for the day breaks.” Jacob said,“ I won’t let you go unless you bless me.”

I had scarcely passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves. I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother’s house, into the room of her who conceived me.

so they will be life to your soul, and grace for your neck.
