And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven,[ even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

It[ is] not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven?( that is, to bring Christ down[ from above]:)

His eyes[ were] as a flame of fire, and on his head[ were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.( Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou[ art] my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?Or[ who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth,[ as if] it had issued out of the womb?When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,And brake up for it my decreed[ place], and set bars and doors,And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?Hast thou commanded the morning since thy days;[ and] caused the dayspring to know his place;That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?It is turned as clay[ to] the seal; and they stand as a garment.And from the wicked their light is withholden, and the high arm shall be broken.Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?Have the gates of death been opened unto thee? or hast thou seen the doors of the shadow of death?Hast thou perceived the breadth of the earth? declare if thou knowest it all.Where[ is] the way[ where] light dwelleth? and[ as for] darkness, where[ is] the place thereof,That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths[ to] the house thereof?Knowest thou[ it], because thou wast then born? or[ because] the number of thy days[ is] great?Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?By what way is the light parted,[ which] scattereth the east wind upon the earth?Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;To cause it to rain on the earth,[ where] no man[ is; on] the wilderness, wherein[ there is] no man;To satisfy the desolate and waste[ ground]; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?The waters are hid as[ with] a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we[ are]?Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts? or who hath given understanding to the heart?Who can number the clouds in wisdom? or who can stay the bottles of heaven,When the dust groweth into hardness, and the clods cleave fast together?Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,When they couch in[ their] dens,[ and] abide in the covert to lie in wait?Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

Who coverest[ thyself] with light as[ with] a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind:Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:[ Who] laid the foundations of the earth,[ that] it should not be removed for ever.Thou coveredst it with the deep as[ with] a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.He sendeth the springs into the valleys,[ which] run among the hills.They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation,[ which] sing among the branches.He watereth the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth;And wine[ that] maketh glad the heart of man,[ and] oil to make[ his] face to shine, and bread[ which] strengtheneth man’s heart.The trees of the LORD are full[ of sap]; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;Where the birds make their nests:[ as for] the stork, the fir trees[ are] her house.The high hills[ are] a refuge for the wild goats;[ and] the rocks for the conies.He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down.Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep[ forth].The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.[ So is] this great and wide sea, wherein[ are] things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.There go the ships:[ there is] that leviathan,[ whom] thou hast made to play therein.These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give[ them] their meat in due season.[ That] thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled: thou takest away their breath, they die, and return to their dust.Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD.

If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD;

And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it[ is] secret?

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this[ is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea,[ for] the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell[ among them].

And Jacob asked[ him], and said, Tell[ me], I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore[ is] it[ that] thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and[ he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal[ him].

For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and[ he] to whom the Son will reveal[ him].

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by[ the name of] God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
