“ If you play the fool and exalt yourself, or if you plan evil, clap your hand over your mouth!

“ Do you do foolish things? Do you think you are better than others? Do you plan evil? If you do, put your hand over your mouth and stop talking!

If you have been foolish, exalting yourself, or if you have been devising evil, put your hand on your mouth.

If you have been a fool by being proud or plotting evil, cover your mouth in shame.

If you have been foolish by exalting yourself or if you’ve been scheming, put your hand over your mouth.

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:

Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise; When he shutteth his lips, he is esteemed as prudent.

Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? There is more hope of a fool than of him.

Be not hasty to go out of his presence; persist not in an evil thing: for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him.For the king’s word hath power; and who may say unto him, What doest thou?
