The third are locusts, which don’t have a king. But they all march forward in ranks.

He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number,

Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, tomorrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers’ fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth[ are] the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast[ it] away; the branches thereof are made white.

And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment[ was] as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.And the shapes of the locusts[ were] like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads[ were] as it were crowns like gold, and their faces[ were] as the faces of men.And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as[ the teeth] of lions.And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings[ was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power[ was] to hurt men five months.And they had a king over them,[ which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue[ is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath[ his] name Apollyon.

They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and[ when] they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp[ is] very great: for[ he is] strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD[ is] great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all[ that] night;[ and] when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.And the locusts went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous[ were they]; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.
