“ The eye that mocks a father, that scorns an aged mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.

“ One person makes fun of their father. Another doesn’t honor their mother when she is old. The ravens of the valley will peck out their eyes. Then the vultures will eat them.

The eye that mocks a father and scorns to obey a mother will be picked out by the ravens of the valley and eaten by the vultures.

The eye that mocks a father and despises a mother’s instructions will be plucked out by ravens of the valley and eaten by vultures.

As for the eye that ridicules a father and despises obedience to a mother, may ravens of the valley pluck it out and young vultures eat it.

Then Joab said,“ I cannot linger with you.” And he took three spears in his hand and thrust them through Absalom’s heart, while he was still alive in the midst of the terebinth tree.And ten young men who bore Joab’s armor surrounded Absalom, and struck and killed him.So Joab blew the trumpet, and the people returned from pursuing Israel. For Joab held back the people.And they took Absalom and cast him into a large pit in the woods, and laid a very large heap of stones over him. Then all Israel fled, everyone to his tent.

Now Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it for herself on the rock, from the beginning of harvest until the late rains poured on them from heaven. And she did not allow the birds of the air to rest on them by day nor the beasts of the field by night.

‘ For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him.

And the Philistine said to David,“ Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!”

Then he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent.And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.But Shem and Japheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father. Your carcasses shall be food for all the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and no one shall frighten them away.

Whoever curses his father or his mother, His lamp will be put out in deep darkness.

Then Absalom met the servants of David. Absalom rode on a mule. The mule went under the thick boughs of a great terebinth tree, and his head caught in the terebinth; so he was left hanging between heaven and earth. And the mule which was under him went on.Now a certain man saw it and told Joab, and said,“ I just saw Absalom hanging in a terebinth tree!”
