“ The eye that mocks a father, that scorns an aged mother, will be pecked out by the ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vultures.

“ One person makes fun of their father. Another doesn’t honor their mother when she is old. The ravens of the valley will peck out their eyes. Then the vultures will eat them.

The eye that mocks a father and scorns to obey a mother will be picked out by the ravens of the valley and eaten by the vultures.

The eye that mocks a father and despises a mother’s instructions will be plucked out by ravens of the valley and eaten by vultures.

As for the eye that ridicules a father and despises obedience to a mother, may ravens of the valley pluck it out and young vultures eat it.

這世代詛咒自己的父親，也不祝福自己的母親。

約押說：「我不再與你這樣耽擱了。」於是他手中拿了三根短矛，趁押沙龍還掛在橡樹上活著的時候，把短矛刺進他的心臟。替約押拿兵器的十個年輕人圍繞著押沙龍攻擊他，把他殺了。於是約押吹響號角，軍兵就返回，不追擊以色列人了，因為約押制止軍兵。他們把押沙龍取下，扔在森林中的一個大坑裡，然後在上面堆了很大的石頭堆。所有以色列人各自逃回自己的帳篷。

阿亞的女兒利斯巴拿來麻布，在磐石上為自己展開，從開始收割的時候直到天降雨水在他們屍體上；她白天不讓天空的飛鳥停落，夜間也不讓田野的走獸靠近。

然後那非利士人對大衛說：「過來吧！我要把你的肉給天空的飛鳥和田野的走獸。」

他喝了葡萄酒，就醉了，在自己的帳篷中赤身露體。迦南的父親含，看見自己父親的下體，就去告訴他在外面的兩個兄弟。於是閃和雅弗拿了一件外衣，搭在他們兩人的肩膀上，倒退著進去遮蓋他們父親的下體；他們背著臉，就沒有看見他們父親的下體。挪亞酒醒以後，知道了小兒子向他所做的事，就說：「迦南是受詛咒的！他必作自己兄弟們奴僕的奴僕。」又說：「耶和華——閃的神是當受頌讚的！願迦南作閃的奴僕。願神使雅弗擴張，使他住在閃的帳篷中；願迦南作雅弗的奴僕。」

詛咒自己父母的，他的燈將在極深的黑暗中熄滅。

押沙龍正巧碰上大衛的臣僕們。押沙龍騎著騾子，從一棵大橡樹的枝杈下經過，他的頭髮被橡樹緊緊纏住，他懸在半空中，胯下的騾子繼續往前跑。有一個人看見，就去報告約押說：「看哪，我看見押沙龍掛在橡樹上了。」
