耶和華說：「因為困苦人所受的迫害和貧窮人的呻吟，我現在要挺身而起，把他們安置在他們渴望的穩妥之地。」

神哪，求你打碎他們口中的牙齒！耶和華啊，求你打斷少壯獅子的大牙！

他在村莊的陰暗處蹲伏，在隱祕處殺死無辜的人，他的眼目窺伺無助的人。他埋伏在隱祕處，如同洞穴中的獅子。他埋伏，為要擄走困苦人；他把困苦人拉入自己的網羅，擄走他們。

有人輕率說話，如刀刺人；智慧人的話語，使人痊癒。

牠們有頭髮像女人的頭髮；牠們的牙齒像獅子的牙齒；

行事詭詐的人哪，你的舌頭謀算奸惡，如同磨利的剃刀！

至於卑劣人，他的手段邪惡，他圖謀惡計，即使貧窮人講求公正，他還是用謊言毀滅困苦人。

現在來吧，你們這些富有的人哪！應當為那些將要臨到你們的慘禍而痛哭、哀號！你們的財富腐爛了；你們的衣服被蟲蛀了；你們的金銀也生鏽了，這鏽將成為控告你們的見證，又要像火那樣吃你們的肉。在這末後的日子裡，你們竟然積蓄財富！看哪！工人收割你們的田地，你們所剋扣他們的工錢正在呼叫，收割者的冤聲也已經達到萬軍之主的耳中了。

「經文士和法利賽人哪，你們這些偽善的人有禍了！因為你們在人的面前封閉了天國。你們自己不進去，也不讓正要進的人進去。

欺壓貧弱者使自己富有的，送禮給富人的，都必缺乏。

「看哪，有另一隻獸，就是第二隻，彷彿一隻熊！牠用一側站立，口中的牙齒之間有三根肋骨；有話對牠這樣說：『起來，吞吃大量的肉！』「此後我繼續觀看，看哪，又有另一隻獸好像豹子！牠的背上有鳥的四個翅膀；這獸有四個頭，並且被賜予了權柄。「此後在夜間的異象中我繼續觀看，看哪，第四隻獸非常恐怖、十分可怕、極其強壯！牠有大鐵牙，吞吃咬碎，又把剩餘的用腳踩踏；牠與之前的各獸都不相同，牠有十隻犄角。

窮人欺壓貧弱者，就如暴雨沖過，一點糧食也不剩。
