There is a kind who is pure in his own eyes, Yet is not washed from his filthiness.

这世代自以为纯净，但自己的污秽却没有被洗净。

有一類人，自以為純潔，卻沒有洗淨自己的污穢。

有一類人，自以為純潔，卻沒有洗淨自己的污穢。

有一種人自以為純潔，卻沒有洗掉自己的污穢。

有一種人自以為潔淨，卻沒有洗去自己的污穢。

這世代自以為純淨，但自己的汙穢卻沒有被洗淨。

有人自視為潔、而實未滌其污、

those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth;

Some are pure in their own eyes. But their dirty sins haven’t been washed away.

There are those who are clean in their own eyes but are not washed of their filth.

They are pure in their own eyes, but they are filthy and unwashed.

There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, yet is not washed from its filth.

The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself:‘ God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.

All the ways of a person are clean in his own sight, But the Lord examines the motives.

You said,‘ I am innocent; Surely His anger is turned away from me.’ Behold, I will enter into judgment with you Because you say,‘ I have not sinned.’

holding to a form of godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these.

Who say,‘ Keep to yourself, do not come near me, For I am holier than you!’ These are smoke in My nostrils, A fire that burns all the day.

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols.

He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we did in righteousness, but in accordance with His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

And He said to them,“ You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of people, but God knows your hearts; because that which is highly esteemed among people is detestable in the sight of God.

“ Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Stop doing evil,

To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.

For it flatters him in his own eyes Concerning the discovery of his wrongful deed and the hatred of it.

Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; Cleanse me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Wash your heart from evil, Jerusalem, So that you may be saved. How long will your wicked thoughts Lodge within you?

Wash me thoroughly from my guilt And cleanse me from my sin.

“ On that day a fountain will be opened for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for defilement.

Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Every person’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord examines the hearts.

but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

But the Lord said to him,“ Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and of the dish; but your inside is full of greed and wickedness.You foolish ones, did He who made the outside not make the inside also?

And the man Micah had a shrine and he made an ephod and household idols, and consecrated one of his sons, so that he might become his priest.

‘ I am pure, without wrongdoing; I am innocent and there is no guilt in me.

So Samuel came to Saul, and Saul said to him,“ Blessed are you of the Lord! I have carried out the command of the Lord.”But Samuel said,“ What then is this bleating of the sheep in my ears, and the bellowing of the oxen which I hear?”

Although you wash yourself with lye And use much soap, The stain of your guilt is before Me,” declares the Lord God.“ How can you say,‘ I am not defiled, I have not gone after the Baals’? Look at your way in the valley! Know what you have done! You are a swift young camel running about senselessly on her ways,A wild donkey accustomed to the wilderness, That sniffs the wind in her passion. Who can turn her away in her mating season? None who seek her will grow weary; In her month they will find her.

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood—

Then Micah said,“ Now I know that the Lord will prosper me, because I have a Levite as a priest.”
