To deliver thee from the way of evil, From the men that speak perverse things;Who forsake the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness;Who rejoice to do evil, And delight in the perverseness of evil;Who are crooked in their ways, And wayward in their paths:

Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil- doing.For evil- doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land.

The wicked desireth the net of evil men; But the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.

Rob not the poor, because he is poor; Neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:For Jehovah will plead their cause, And despoil of life those that despoil them.Make no friendship with a man that is given to anger; And with a wrathful man thou shalt not go:Lest thou learn his ways, And get a snare to thy soul.

For I was envious at the arrogant, When I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
