Do not say to your neighbor,“ Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”— when you already have it with you.

Suppose you already have something to give. Don’t say to your neighbor,“ Come back tomorrow. I’ll give it to you then.”

Do not say to your neighbor,“ Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it”— when you have it with you.

If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say,“ Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”

Don’t say to your neighbor,“ Go away! Come back later. I’ll give it tomorrow”— when it is there with you.

Do not say to your neighbor,“ Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it to you,” When you have it with you.

Do not say to your neighbor,“ Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,” When you have it with you.

Say not unto thy neighbor, Go, and come again, And to- morrow I will give; When thou hast it by thee.

Don’t say to your neighbor,“ Go away! Come back later. I’ll give it tomorrow”— when it is there with you.

If the neighbor is poor, do not go to sleep with their pledge in your possession.Return their cloak by sunset so that your neighbor may sleep in it. Then they will thank you, and it will be regarded as a righteous act in the sight of the Lord your God.Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.Pay them their wages each day before sunset, because they are poor and are counting on it. Otherwise they may cry to the Lord against you, and you will be guilty of sin. (niv)

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom. (niv)

Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. (niv)

Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. (niv)
