Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.

He who has a generous eye will be blessed, For he gives of his bread to the poor.

You shall surely give to him, and your heart should not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the Lord your God will bless you in all your works and in all to which you put your hand.

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.As it is written:“ He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.”Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.

But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

A good man deals graciously and lends; He will guide his affairs with discretion.Surely he will never be shaken; The righteous will be in everlasting remembrance.He will not be afraid of evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.His heart is established; He will not be afraid, Until he sees his desire upon his enemies.He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever; His horn will be exalted with honor.

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.

When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

He who says to the wicked,“ You are righteous,” Him the people will curse; Nations will abhor him.
