好競者之搆爭、如加炭於焰、如加薪於火、

加炭添薪、火勢愈熾、爭人益爭亦若是。

As charcoal to embers and as wood to fire, so is a quarrelsome person for kindling strife.

Coal glows, and wood burns. And a person who argues stirs up conflict.
