He had farmers and vineyard keepers in the mountains and in the fruitful fields, for he loved farming.Moreover Uzziah had an army of fighting men, who went out to war by bands, according to the number of their reckoning made by Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the officer, under the hand of Hananiah, one of the king’s captains.

He said to them,“ Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.”

Know well the state of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds:for riches are not forever, nor does the crown endure to all generations.The hay is removed, and the new growth appears, the grasses of the hills are gathered in.The lambs are for your clothing, and the goats are the price of a field.There will be plenty of goats’ milk for your food, for your family’s food, and for the nourishment of your servant girls.
