I applied my heart to what I observed and learned a lesson from what I saw:

When I saw this, I gave careful consideration to it; I received instruction from what I saw:

這些事都是我們的鑒戒，使我們不要貪戀惡事，像他們貪戀過的一樣。

然後，城裏的眾人就要用石頭將他打死。這樣，你就把惡從你中間除掉，全以色列聽見了都要害怕。」

這一切的事，你們雖然知道，我卻仍要提醒你們：從前主只一次就救了他的百姓出埃及地，後來卻把那些不信的滅絕了。至於那些不守本位、離開自己住處的天使，主用鎖鏈把他們永遠拘留在黑暗裏，等候大日子的審判。同樣，所多瑪、蛾摩拉和周圍城鎮的人也跟着他們一樣犯淫亂，隨從逆性的情慾，以致遭受永不熄滅之火的懲罰，作為眾人的鑒戒。

這些事發生在他們身上，要作為鑒戒，而且寫下來正是要警戒我們這末世的人。

人算甚麼，你竟看他為大，將他放在心上，

應當畏懼，不可犯罪；在床上的時候，要心裏思想，並要安靜。（細拉）

馬利亞卻把這一切的事存在心裏，反覆思考。

他就同他們下去，回到拿撒勒，並且順從他們。他母親把這一切的事都存在心裏。

惟願他們有智慧，能明白這事，他們就會想到自己的結局。

全以色列都要聽見而害怕，不敢在你中間再行這樣的惡事了。
