Those guilty of sin must be rebuked before all, as a warning to the rest.Before God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, I solemnly charge you to carry out these commands without prejudice or favoritism of any kind.

He says,“ How long will you make unjust legal decisions and show favoritism to the wicked?( Selah)Defend the cause of the poor and the fatherless! Vindicate the oppressed and suffering!Rescue the poor and needy! Deliver them from the power of the wicked!

If so, have you not made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil motives?Listen, my dear brothers and sisters! Did not God choose the poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love him?But you have dishonored the poor! Are not the rich oppressing you and dragging you into the courts?

Respect the LORD and make careful decisions, for the LORD our God disapproves of injustice, partiality, and bribery.”

They must not discriminate in judgment, but hear the lowly and the great alike. Nor should they be intimidated by human beings, for judgment belongs to God. If the matter being adjudicated is too difficult for them, they should bring it before me for a hearing.

Incline your ear and listen to the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my instruction.

You must not pervert justice or show favor. Do not take a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and distort the words of the righteous.

Who is a wise person? Who knows the solution to a problem? A person’s wisdom brightens his appearance, and softens his harsh countenance.Obey the king’s command, because you took an oath before God to be loyal to him.Do not rush out of the king’s presence in haste– do not delay when the matter is unpleasant, for he can do whatever he pleases.Surely the king’s authority is absolute; no one can say to him,“ What are you doing?”Whoever obeys his command will not experience harm, and a wise person knows the proper time and procedure.
