Don’t excuse yourself by saying,“ Look, we didn’t know.” For God understands all hearts, and he sees you. He who guards your soul knows you knew. He will repay all people as their actions deserve.

你若说：“这事我未曾知道”，那衡量人心的岂不明白吗？保守你命的岂不知道吗？他岂不按各人所行的报应各人吗？

你若说：“看哪，这事我们不知道”，那衡量人心的岂不明白吗？保护你性命的岂不知道吗？他岂不按各人所做的报应各人吗？

你若说：“看哪，这事我们不知道”，那衡量人心的岂不明白吗？保护你性命的岂不知道吗？他岂不按各人所做的报应各人吗？

不要推说自己毫不知情，鉴察人心的主洞悉一切，保守你生命的上帝知情，祂必按你的行为报应你。

如果你说：“这事我不知道。”那衡量人心的不明白吗？那看顾你性命的不晓得吗？他不按照各人的行为报应各人吗？

如果你说：“看哪，我不知道这事！”难道衡量人心的那一位不了解吗？难道守护你灵魂的那一位不知道吗？难道他不照着各人所做的回报各人吗？

爾若曰、此非我所知、而權衡人心者、豈不度之、保佑爾命者、豈不知之、豈不依人所行而報之、

勿諉曰不知、鑒察人心、保爾生命者、莫不悉爾隱微、彼豈不視人所行、而加賞罰。

爾若諉曰、此我所不知、爾當思鑒察人心者必明曉、保爾生命者必洞悉、必按人所行者施報於人、

If you say,“ But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done?

Don’t say,“ But we didn’t know anything about this.” Doesn’t the God who knows what you are thinking see it? Doesn’t the God who guards your life know it? He will pay back everyone for what they have done.

If you say,“ Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay man according to his work?

If you say,“ But we didn’t know about this,” won’t he who weighs hearts consider it? Won’t he who protects your life know? Won’t he repay a person according to his work?

If you say,“ See, we did not know this,” Does He who weighs the hearts not consider it? And does He who watches over your soul not know it? And will He not repay a person according to his work?

If you say,“ Surely we did not know this,” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds?

If thou sayest, Behold, we knew not this; Doth not he that weigheth the hearts consider it? And he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? And shall not he render to every man according to his work?

If you say,“ But we didn’t know about this,” won’t He who weighs hearts consider it? Won’t He who protects your life know? Won’t He repay a person according to his work?

If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider[ it]? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth[ not] he know[ it]? and shall[ not] he render to[ every] man according to his works?

If you say,“ But we did not know about this,” does not the one who evaluates hearts consider? Does not the one who guards your life know? Will he not repay each person according to his deeds?

If you say,“ Behold, we didn’t know this,” doesn’t he who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, doesn’t he know it? Shall he not render to every man according to his work?

He repays people according to their deeds. He treats people as they deserve.

Don’t be surprised if you see a poor person being oppressed by the powerful and if justice is being miscarried throughout the land. For every official is under orders from higher up, and matters of justice get lost in red tape and bureaucracy.

People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their heart.

I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve.

The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

But the Lord said to Samuel,“ Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

He will judge everyone according to what they have done.

He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.

unfailing love, O Lord, is yours. Surely you repay all people according to what they have done.

The Lord gives both death and life; he brings some down to the grave but raises others up.

God would surely have known it, for he knows the secrets of every heart.

“ Look, I am coming soon, bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds.

I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds.Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death.And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.

“ Even when you are chased by those who seek to kill you, your life is safe in the care of the Lord your God, secure in his treasure pouch! But the lives of your enemies will disappear like stones shot from a sling!

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

You have tested my thoughts and examined my heart in the night. You have scrutinized me and found nothing wrong. I am determined not to sin in what I say.

“ Write this letter to the angel of the church in Thyatira. This is the message from the Son of God, whose eyes are like flames of fire, whose feet are like polished bronze:

For you have proudly defied the Lord of heaven and have had these cups from his Temple brought before you. You and your nobles and your wives and concubines have been drinking wine from them while praising gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone— gods that neither see nor hear nor know anything at all. But you have not honored the God who gives you the breath of life and controls your destiny!

You have all wisdom and do great and mighty miracles. You see the conduct of all people, and you give them what they deserve.

So don’t make judgments about anyone ahead of time— before the Lord returns. For he will bring our darkest secrets to light and will reveal our private motives. Then God will give to each one whatever praise is due.

For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.

For the Lord sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes.

For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds.

And this is the message I proclaim— that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.

But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”

For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said,‘ We are his offspring.’

I am the living one. I died, but look— I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.

Our lives are in his hands, and he keeps our feet from stumbling.

End the evil of those who are wicked, and defend the righteous. For you look deep within the mind and heart, O righteous God.
